How old will you be?

Sorry if this is just another post about something Lillian said, she's just in that zone right now!

On the way home from the Gilbert House (children's museum) today, she announced: "Jack is going to marry Molly, Daddy is going to marry Mom, and Roland is going to marry me!"

We've heard this before, and to his credit, Roland just smirked about how cute and clueless she is.

I related this to her dad tonight in front of her, and after she cleared up some grammatical confusion:  Roland is not going to marry me (mom) but me (Lillian), she explained, they will marry when she's older.

Oh?

Yes, when she's five.  "I'll be in kindergarten then."

And such a woman of the world.

Shall I write a post for Ashley?

Who may be the main person who misses my blog? (Except me)  I've been busy, growing a boy!

Not this one.  (But he's so cute, don't you think?)

For the first time ever, we are having the same gender in a row, close in age (23 months apart to be precise).  I'm excited and nervous.  (Actually what I'm really nervous about is 3 at home, which will also be a first for me)

Baby Anthony Adam is due August 7th, and looked well and skeletal on the ultrasound.  I was truly surprised, I've been expecting another girl after Lillian for two boys now.

The night before the U/S, I pondered the loss of what ever kind of baby I wasn't going to have.  You have to give up that other child in your imagination to anticipate the one who is coming.

When Roland (who is delighted) asked me at dinner that evening, which gender I wanted I told him:

"That's really hard to answer, I wanted both."
Roland found that difficult to believe, Wesley tried to explain:

"Well, think Roland, if we had to give up Jack or Lillian, who would it be?"

Lillian pipes up:

"How about Jack?"

We're still laughing about that one.  She seems to really love her little brother, but she puts number one first!
