Are you afraid of snakes?

So last weekend was our school carnival.  The highlight was, as always The reptile man.  Molly, after years of trying, finally got chosen to assist with an animal, and she reached right in and picked up a tortoise.  I don't have pictures yet, but maybe I'll get some later.  Then the excitement started.  My poor sister-in-law, Staci got repeatedly chosen for torture via alligator and snakes.  I'm not sure if she's still speaking to me.  When the cobra rested on her head, I thought 'well that's the end of our friendship!'.  After all, I made sure our group got such good seats!

For my nephew's birthday today I made a snake stuffed with lentils, using a motorcycle (dirt bikes of course) print I used for the quilt I made Wesley to thank him for letting me have Jack (and being so nice about it).  I wanted to start recording some of the cool things I occasionally make.  Not because those things are so spectacular or remarkable, but because I like to remember that I'm not always bumbling, that somethings do get accomplished.

  1. My kids (who are afraid of everything) loved the reptile man at the library last year! I'll have to check on when they might have him again.

What a cute little snake. I felt like I had to start documenting my projects because I'm always giving them away. I have nothing to show for all my hard work if I don't document it! I'm loving your blog. I've got to get blogging more myself. The newness of my family blog has worn off and no one comments anymore, leaving me little motivation.
